Accessibility Audits - find out how you measure up with a comprehensive access audit

To help you meet Disability Discrimination Act requirements, Virosafe can carry out an Accessibility Audit on your behalf and advise you on any reasonable adjustments that can be implemented, in order to improve your facilities for everyone, not just disabled people.

Our experienced auditors will assess all physical barriers that prevent a disabled person from having full access to your premises as well as highlighting areas of good practice. These include:

  • Approach to, access to and exit from your premises
  • Ramps and handrails
  • Helpful and compliant signage, labelling and imaging
  • Appropriate washroom and toilet facilities
  • Appropriate lighting
  • Carefully planned car parking
  • Easily accessible pathways and walkways

We offer a range of audits and will advise on the most appropriate one for your business, eg:

  • A  thorough review of your premises and a brief written report (aimed at small businesses)
  • A detailed review of your premises including access to the building, fire escapes, staff areas and a detailed written report (aimed at medium sized businesses employing staff)
  • A full review of your premises including transport links and a detailed written report with digital photographs, (aimed at the tourism and leisure sector, nursing homes and larger businesses)

We also offer a service to review your training event.   We will assess not only the venue but the training materials that are being used - are they produced in an accessible font, what different types of presentation of materials do you offer?  Our experienced trainers will advise on how you should be delivering your course or your training in an accessible way.

Employers and service providers should continually assess when and where alterations are needed in respect of a disabled person's requirements. To ensure you are keeping pace with the Act - contact us today and ask about our independent, thorough and confidential Accessibility Survey services, Remedial Works and our Staff Awareness Training Courses.

We also offer discounts when a package of services is ordered (for example, you may  require an  Accessibility Audit, a DSEAR Risk Assessment and a Manual Handling Course).  Our staff will be pleased to advise you on how our range of services can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
